Is everyone capable of Romantic love?

My friend a few days ago said that she never really understood it, that she had had crushes but never really felt it. My parents never really seemed in love, it seemed a lot about convenience, and a lot of my other friends seem relatively indifferent to it. So is everybody capable of real romantic love? Or is it the preserve of a few people with the right personality and mindset?
